This was the first of The Misty River Romance series I read and all I can say is what a start! The author deftly handles issues of addiction, trauma, secrecy, and healing, weaving them into the lives of the characters.

As a reader I thrive in elaborate yet relatable character development that is particularly impactful and emotional and Becky Wade mastered the art well.Faith plays an essential role in this book’s progression, yet the author handles it with authentic genuineness.

Genevieve’s spiritual journey centers on the idea of losing sight of God, a concept familiar to many in their relationship with God. The author shows Genevieve’s awareness of this disconnect and follows her path to rediscover Him.This theme of spiritual reconnection also eventually applies to Sam (the male lead), who experiences God’s presence in an unexpected but deep way.

Each character encounters grace and love from a God they knew about but never looked for. In the everyday details of their lives, God reveals Himself leaving them in awe of it all.This book stands out because it strikes a balance between various elements while delving deep into its storytelling.

Becky Wade shows her talent by weaving romance with mystery in her writing. If you want a read that’s both gripping and thought-provoking, this novel fits the bill!
